Survivors: Hope Never Dies

Ian Wylie
January 11, 2010

“HOPE never dies,” says the postcard in the reception area of The Midland Hotel.

If 99 per cent of the world’s population had been killed by a flu virus, would there be hope for you? Would you help others, or grab a gun?

Those questions continue in the second series of hit TV drama Survivors, which returns tomorrow night in the wake of the real life swine flu pandemic.

The fictional story so far: Food and water are in short supply, with no electricity, gas, communications, medical care, police or government.

The BBC News website has an interview with Julie Graham (Abby) about the second series, which begins:

Survivors cast survive swine flu

By Tim Masters
Entertainment correspondent, BBC News

The post-apocalyptic drama Survivors returns this week, with the cast and crew counting themselves fortunate that 2009's swine flu outbreak didn't wreck the making of the second series.

"Amazingly, we were filming in the Midlands where all the swine flu was happening," says actress Julie Graham, who plays the heroine Abby Grant.

And finally, showbiz and television website Digital Spy features an interview with Zoë as part of their Survivors Interview series

Their interview begins:
