About the Author
James Swallow is a British author, journalist and scriptwriter. The author of several original books and tie-in novels, Swallow lives and works in London.
His writing includes: The Sundowners series of Western fiction steampunk novels, The Warhammer 40,000 novels Red Fury, Deus Encarmine and Deus Sanguinius, The Blood Angels Omnibus, Faith and Fire, and the Flight of the Eisenstein, Day of the Vipers, the first part of the Star Trek: Terok Nor trilogy, and Star Trek Myriad Universes - Infinity's Prism, Peacemaker, a Doctor Who novel featuring the 10th Doctor and Martha Jones, published by BBC Books. Other works of his include The Dark Future novel Jade Dragon, Relativity, a novel based on the television series Stargate SG-1, Halcyon, a novel based on the television series Stargate Atlantis, The 2000AD novels Eclipse, Blood Relative and Whiteout and The novelisation of The Butterfly Effect. Although uncredited, Swallow is the only British writer to have worked on a Star Trek television series, having created the original stories for One and Memorial, two episodes of the series Star Trek Voyager.
He also wrote the script for the videogame Star Trek Invasion and contributed to the anthologies Star Trek Voyager - Distant Shores, Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Sky's the Limit and Star Trek Mirror Universe - Shards and Shadows.
