Zoë at The NPG
Zoë is - or rather Zoë's photograph - is appearing at The National Portrait Gallery as part of an exhibition displaying "The Actress Now".
Beginning 20th October, The National Portrait Gallery will be hosting two new exhibitions called The Actress Now, and The First Actresses: Nell Gwyn to Sarah Siddons.
The Actress Now display will feature 39 portraits of both new and veteran actresses in the form of oil paintings, pencil drawings, ceramic sculptures, and photographs to demonstrate the diversity and breadth of contemporary talent.
The photograph of Zoë in the exhibition is the Sarah Dunn portrait taken in 2009, the subject of which was Shadows.
Actresses Helena Bonham Carter, Lily Cole, Sophie Okonedo, Anna Popplewell, Zoë, Emma Thompson, Zoe Wanamaker and Dame Harriet Walter are ambassadors of the display, and their reflections and comments on their careers will be displayed on captions throughout the free exhibit.
The Actress Now is free to enter and is displayed in rooms 41 and 41a until 8th January 2012.
